Join Urban Green Council's Emerging Professionals for their March | Educational Forum at Skanska USA'sflagship office on the 32nd floor of the Empire State Building!  At this month's forum, we welcome Aaron Gonzales, Director of Building Information Modeling Services at Plaza Construction, who will give a presentation on BIM Modeling for Sustainable Buildings.

During this one hour presentation, Aaron will touch upon:

  • “BIM for Green Buildings” - focusing on leveraging advancing technology in the AEC industry to assist architects, engineers, and contractors achieve USGBC LEED Certification for their projects;
  • Economic indicators as it relates to Greening of Existing Buildings; and
  • Basic concepts of BIM Modeling – Architecture, Structural, MEP, including strategies for: 
      **Capturing existing conditions using the Faro Laser Scanner 
      **Using the BIM Model for Energy Analysis 
      **Extracting BIM Data to satisfy the GBCI requirements 
      **GBCI, LEED Online and the
  • CLOUD

Aaron Gonzales, Assoc. AIA LEED AP BD+C has over 25 years of construction experience. As Director of Building Information Modeling Services, Mr. Gonzales is not only responsible for the integration, implementation and management of BIM solutions and systems, but also facilitates the standardization and protocol of work flows. He is the Author of Bentley Buildings V8i BIM for Green buildings: USGBC-LEEDv3 Existing building Operations & Maintenance (EBOM ) Workshop.
